Join Oak Group artists Chris Chapman and John Iwerks for a morning paint-out in the Meadow.   Class begins with a short demonstration,followed by individual help at the easel.   

All mediums and skill levels welcome.

Bring your own art supplies and sack lunch. 

We'll break for lunch at noon, followed by a constructive group critique.

Workshop Description:

Experience the meditative art of botanical illustration. In this relaxed one-day workshop, learn to accurately render plant species with an understanding of form and function. The most important thing is to work from Life, and to choose something that excites you. Bring subjects of your own, or choose to do a plant portrait from a selection provided. Demonstrations in graphite drawing, watercolor and pen & ink.  Bring your own art supplies.  Have fun with this!  A list of subject ideas and art supplies for a variety of mediums will be mailed to you after registering. Bring a sack lunch or enjoy a nearby restaurant. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
